Our founders have worked within the industrial market place across all verticals of the energy sector over the past 25 years. This experience has provided a wide range of reference points for what constitutes good engineering. Our quest to establish SSECI began with a desire to provide customers with a reliable organization that efficiently delivers high quality, practical, and safe solutions. We recognize that many organizations share this quest. SSECI has uniquely advanced integrated systems, streamlined work processes built on best practices, and highly qualified resources to deliver repeatable quality safe solutions that follow regulatory approved, recognized, and generally accepted, good engineering practices (RAGAGEP).

 

Our Philosophy

Our business philosophy is to create and nurture positive employee and customer relationships leading to project success. The pragmatic application of this philosophy is to ensure there is a constant flow of respect for time, care for each other’s well-being, and support for mutual success in the form of providing instructions, knowledge and resources necessary to get the job done.

The Team

Dedicated to support customers as they reduce risk at their facilities by providing practical engineering solutions that meet client expectations for scope, schedule and budget while also meeting regulatory requirements. We use a consulting-based approach to understand objectives, develop project plans, and solutions to meet requirements.

Founders

Sheri Sammons, PE CFSE

CEO

Sheri Sammons is a Professional Engineer, Certified Functional Safety Expert, and received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She has gained project engineering, management, product management, safety/process control system, and process safety expertise over the last 30 years. Sheri has worked for leading automation companies working as an expert on DCS, PLC, and SIS. She has also worked directly for several chemical companies as a project manager and process safety manager. Her experience with the chemical industry, implementation of control and safety systems, and process safety regulations led to starting SSECI as a niche engineering and consulting company to support process risk reduction for industrial clients including pipelines, chemical plants, and refineries.  She and her team have years of success decreasing risk in potentially dangerous or volatile environments. 

Robert Sammons, FSE

COO 

Robert Sammons has more than 25 years of experience in Control Systems engineering, design, programming, business management, and sales. A local Houstonian, Robert attended The University of Houston – Main Campus in 1994. As an innovative visionary and leader, with initiative, Robert acquired more than 30 years of successful technical solution delivery and sales. His experience provides customers extensive technical, managerial, and sales experience to support their engineering, automation, integration, fabrication, and construction needs.
